About Me
How’d I get here: Licensed counselor to learning designer…how did THAT happen? The short answer - a lot of career exploration and reflection. As much as I loved providing direct care to others and playing a positive role in their lives, something still didn’t feel quite right for me career-wise. I desired a role where I could still work with others and make an impact, but also preserve my energy and allow my creative side to shine as well. After meeting with a career counselor, analyzing inventories, and reflecting on the tasks I enjoyed in previous jobs, I discovered learning design, and I can confidently say this is where I’m meant to be.
My drive: The one constant I’ve held tightly to through all my career experiences is my purpose - to help others live their best, most fulfilling lives. My goal is to bring this purpose into learning design by creating meaningful content and learning experiences that allow people and organizations to thrive.
What I bring to the table: My edge as a learning designer lies in understanding the mind and human behavior. My background in psychology and counseling, combined with my intuitive empath personality, allows me to see multiple perspectives and design creative content and learning experiences that are detailed, realistic, and relevant to the learner.
The fun stuff: When I’m not lost in a state of flow creating eLearnings, you can find me practicing piano, jamming to songs from the 90s/2000s, journaling, watching the Packers and Brewers, geeking out over weather, or playing with my rescue cattle dog, Reggie.
